Family Service: The Living Nativity

Everyone’s favorite No Rehearse Pageant is back! All ages are invited to help us depict the classic nativity story of Jesus’s birth with music from our youth choirs, carols, and of course candles.

The Share the Plate recipient for the 3:30pm family service is the UN World Food Programme, chosen by the First Parish youth.

Traditional Service: A Sacred Journey

This year we will reflect on the Christmas story as a story of migration, anger, and asylum seeking, with its clear parallels to the present day. How does the ancient wisdom of this story, and the hope it represents, call us to respond? This service will feature exquisite performances of two joyful Bach cantatas by the adult choir and soloists with orchestra, as well as many traditional carols. We will close singing Silent Night by candlelight.

The Share the Plate recipient for the 8:00pm traditional service is the Bedford Food Bank, chosen by the Social Responsibility Council.
