Stewardship

We are all stewards of First Parish, and as such, our role is to take care of our beloved community so that it can continue to make a difference in our lives and those of future generations.

The Stewardship Committee works towards bringing our time, talents and treasure together to enable First Parish to fully achieve its four fundamental concepts of spirit, justice, community, and sustainability. Our collective contributions make love real in the world.

Time

We all help First Parish be what we want. One way is through giving our time . . . to ushering and making coffee on Sundays, to Faith Development, to playing together. You can find ways to help out here.

Talent

We all have gifts and First Parish is a place where we can share them. Want to sing with the choir? Want to be involved in social action? Want to join a committee? Find a place in our community to come alive and be fully engaged.

Treasure

First Parish cannot function without your financial support. The church depends on you for its operating budget, which includes minister salaries, faith development, and building maintenance.

Members and friends of First Parish make an annual pledge, usually during the Annual Canvass, for payment during the following fiscal year (July–June). Every pledge, no matter how large or small, makes a difference. Letting the church know your pledge for the year is crucial in creating a budget and for fiscal planning.
