
First Parish offers many opportunities to deepen our commitment to each other and the wider world by sharing our time, gifts and talents. Worshipping, working and playing together is what makes our community a very special place.
Consider what your interests and available time may allow when you volunteer, but please jump in. All are welcome!
Possibilities include:
- Organizing or helping with individual events, Sunday services, and potlucks:
- Ushering at Sunday services. Email Rev. Jamie to sign up.
- Making and serving coffee on Sunday mornings
- Helping out at the annual Plant & Craft Fair and other FP fundraisers
- Committing to help out on a regular schedule:
- Serving on a committee
- Assisting with Faith Development classes on Sundays (PreK–Grade 5 and Grades 6–7)
- Support our safe congregation policy by being a second adult during youth choir rehearsals and other programs
- Reaching beyond First Parish, by connecting with the larger community:
- Taking part in one of many social action projects
- Discovering more about UUs through New England Region events or the UUA
- Visiting our Partner Church in Transylvania
