Childcare

Affirming and promoting the inherent worth and dignity of every person begins with our very youngest. The childcare program at First Parish provides a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children during First Parish special events and meetings.

Information for Families

Free childcare is available for infants, toddlers, and children up to age 3 during Sunday services in the nursery, 9:45–11:30am. The nursery has age-appropriate, fun, and wholesome toys. Parents are asked to bring a diaper bag with a change of clothing and any other needed items such as snacks, bottles, etc.

Childcare is also provided at many First Parish events. For events that include childcare, we will either indicate that it is provided regardless of need or we will ask folks who need childcare to let us know so that we can staff appropriately. This information will be part of the event invitation that goes out on our various communication channels.

Information for First Parish Leaders

If you are a First Parish leader hoping to provide childcare at an event you are planning, please contact our Minister of Faith Development, Rev. Annie Gonzaelz, at ministerfaithdev@uubedford.org.

We Need Volunteers!

Our current childcare model relies on one paid staff person and an additional volunteer recruited from the congregation. We are always looking for volunteers and are also open to hiring additional interested individuals!

If you are interested in either of these positions, please contact Rev. Annie at ministerfaithdev@uubedford.org.
